This year's Directors' Fortnight poster for Cannes was created by Michel Welfringer. It bases on a photographic work by Swiss non-conformist artist Jean-Luc Cramatte.

The Directors' Fortnight (La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs) has contributed since its creation in 1969 to the discovery of various talented auteurs and distinguishes itself with its free-mindedness and a certain taste for avant-garde, risk-taking filmmaking.
