I certainly should say a few words about our ongoing discussion with Apple- who rudely considered our applications to be spam and demanded that we create one developer’s account in the iTunes Store for each new cinema app. We are on the case though, and hopefully we won’t have to resign ourselves to do so. This demand of theirs slowed down slightly the development of our last few apps- and I would like to apologise for the delay. I will keep you up to date on the outcomes of our discussion. A decision should be taken at the beginning of next week.
SylC App of the week
We are now able to track which of our apps have gathered the highest download rates each week. And this week’s winner is…Traumpalast Esslingen, with 99 downloads! Thank you Andreas and Steffi for your efforts in promoting the app- well done!

Friday fun
Well this is something. Wednesday night I finally watched ‘O Brother! Where art thou’- one of the last movies by the Coen bros I had not seen yet. I found it SO brilliant that I got quite excited and felt a strong urge to express my love for the dads of The Big Lebobwsky somehow. Which I actually did (in German in the comments of the film linked above)- why would I not? Shouting all over the place that they were the most talented filmmakers of their time, until the unavoidable happened and I got surrounded by angry Tarantino fanatics with fancy swords. Quentin Tarantino or the Coen brothers?* Catchy music, colourful characters, intricate stories, as shamelessly subjective as this statement may be - both sets of directors are responsible for the best movies of the last two decades.
This video found on the web is a delightful mix of scenes from Tarantino’s and Coen’s movies… pure pleasure! So.. in which gang are YOU?
Enjoy, and have a lovely weekend!
